Mónica has an educational formation specialized in tango, thus turning her into one of the very little instructors of tango with academics formation. By her didactics, pedagogy and vast experience like teacher and dancer, she is recognized in Buenos Aires (Argentina), Washington DC; New York City; New Jersey (US); The Hague; Leiden and Amsterdam (The Netherlands); Antwerp and Brussels (Belgium) among others cities where frequently she is summoned to offer classes, workshops and performances of tango.
Mónica has a vast teaching experience as follower and leader, and for both she has developed a simple method of learning with which the student acquires solid bases, functional and universal of tango that will allow her/him to understand and include the technique soon to develop a personal dance.
Mónica dominates the technique of the Tango, the Milonga and the Tango Waltz. She specializes in Milonguero Style (see Method).
Since June 2010 Mónica is holding PractiMilonguero; where she teaches the Etiquette of Tango in traditional milongas of Buenos Aires. In addition she interviews living legends of tango. •Member of the cast of the very successful “Una Arrabalera de Hoy” during two years in the Café Tortoni, Buenos Aires.
•Participated with a group of dancers in the “Día Nacional del Tango” show which was staged in the Teatro Astral, Buenos Aires.
•With Osvaldo Spinelli, they were Metropolitan Champions 2001.
•Finalist in the First Salon Tango World Championship, 9 March 2002.
•Dancing together alongside such top-rank musicians as Aníbal Arias (guitar); Osvaldo Montes (bandoneon) and Pascual Mamonne (bandoneon).
•She and her students have been invited on various occasions to take part in shows put on by the Argentine National Library.
•In November 2002, two of her young students were presented like soloists at the Teatro Colón, Buenos Aires.
•She is one of the very few teachers who teach tango in the official institutions.
